Reset Permissions on Public folders globally |

The Microsoft Exchange Server Public Folder DAV-based Administration Tool is a tool that permits you to reset Public folder permissions globally or per folder and is available for download from http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=635be792-d8ad-49e3-ada4-e2422c0ab424&displaylang=en .
To use th ePFDAV tool; - Click on File menu and select Connect.
- The settings for your server should appear in the next window. Simply click on OK to accept.
- All being well your public folder tree should now be visible.
- Right click on the folder to which you wish to change permissions and select Folder Permissions.
- Change the folder permissions to whatever you would like them to be and click OK.
- Right click on the folder again and select Propogate Folder ACEs.
- You can propogate the permissions to the subfolders.
Keep in mind that if you want the user or group to be able to rename or delete subfolders they must be the owner. |
